Inside the legendary Onassis £25 million home in Mayfair snapped up in less than 24 hours

London’s prime real estate is home to not only gorgeous properties, but homes with incredible history.

From the flat that was where MI6 was run to a penthouse owned by royalty, there’s always a great story and big names behind the pretty facade – and 47 Grosvenor Square is no different.

The famous property, previously owned by Artemis Onassis, the sister of billionaire Aristotle Onassis and sister-in-law to Jackie Kennedy Onassis, was put up for sale for £25 million – and was snapped up in less than 24 hours.

The interest in the Mayfair residence has been immense due to this glamorous past – how many people can say they live where the iconic Jackie O, her sister Princess Lee Radziwill and Caroline Kennedy spent their time?

Speaking about the major 24-hour deal, estate agent Jeremy Gee said: “The deal is cloaked in secrecy but we understand that the apartment has sold to a Middle East buyer, a Saudi billionaire buying for his daughter.”

The five-bedroom apartment was sold for £18.6 million – and with a bit of restoration the property could be worth as much as £30 million!
